I grew up at Raymond Baptist Church. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and
Savior when I was a young teenager. However, when I got older, I made some wrong
choices in my lifestyle that were not pleasing to God. In high school, I began
to experiment with alcohol and drugs. A few years later, I crossed over the line
into addiction. I was trying to fill a void that can only be filled by the Holy
Spirit. I reached a point where I really did not care about myself or others. I
was not satisfied with anything or person in my life. All I wanted to do was to
escape by staying under the influence. At this point, my parents had the faith
and courage to intervene. They put me into a Hospital where I could get some
help. I asked God to help me after I sobered up. He showed me He had always been
there, waiting for me to ask. I rededicated my life to Christ in 1985. Since
that time, God has shown me a much better life than I ever hoped possible. He
has given me a loving and inspirational husband. He has renewed my relationship
with my family. He has given me many Christian friends, and He has given me a
wonderful supportive church family. Most of all, God has given me a living
relationship with Himself, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Because of His love, He
gave me a desire to reach out to others who had walked away from Him. We are
continuing to follow Him here in Brazil. He is faithful; he finishes what he
starts. Even if you cannot feel Him, He is there. Just ask for His help...click
