This name was chosen because Penny and I understand what it means to be a
Volunteer. Combined, we have volunteered and gone on over 100 trips, in Brazil,
Honduras, and the USA before we moved here full-time. We believe that when a
volunteer accepts the call from our Savior to leave his/her comfort zone, and
travels anywhere in the world for the cause of Christ, that person is fulfilling
the good work started in them by Fai†h. They have been guided in the
beginning by the Holy Spirit to Volunteer, and we understand what it feels like,
when all you know is that you "Have to GO". We at HCS believe
that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide and protect each person through-out
the entire stay here. We will respect each persons individuality, talents and
spiritual gifts. We too are "Volunteers of Fai†h ", and are happy
many have chosen to be apart of this work.
We commit to work beside each new Volunteer, to help them to adjust to
the sometimes difficult emotions, and situations experienced while working with
HCS here in Brazil. We will trust God to guide and direct each person in actions
they perform here, we will share our Experiences, Strength, and Hope, but
will allow the Holy Spirit to be the final
source of wisdom for each "Volunteer of
Fai†h ".
